Americana Conference (continued)

Did I say I wasn't much for the seminars? That's not completely true. I loved the interview/performance with Rodney Crowell and Will Kimbrough with Rita Houston from WFUV. And I enjoyed the songwriting seminar that Sony/ATV exec Woody Bomar emceed that featured the power trio of Chip Taylor, Jim Lauderdale, and Darrell Scott. That was a real blast, to see three guys that amazing playing their songs and telling stories to a rapt audience of less than fifty people in broad daylight.

What's a shame is that you can't see everyone, of course, because of scheduling conflicts. We missed hella shows we would have liked to see. We wish we could have caught Chip Taylor and Carrie Rodriguez, for example, but we hope to interview them very shortly for you, along with reviewing their new CD, The Trouble With Humans.  continue
